Just finished reading a book by Jack Jacobs. If you don’t know of him you should. He stands only 5’4″, but is actually larger than life. I have been lucky to be able to meet him.
The book is his life story. He does talk about the action that earned him the Medal of Honor. However, that is not the crux of the book. He makes some excellent points about the military, American life, and what we need to do to be successful.
The book was published in 2008. Jack takes the Bush administration to task over the war in Iraq. I wonder what he would say post surge? Based on what he says about Iraq, I think he would have strong words concerning the way Obama has managed the war in Afghanistan.
This is a well written book, and in several parts of it I actually laughed out loud. Jack Jacobs is someone that everyone ought to aspire to be. He is a great man.
